Dr. Douglas T. Sakurai, DDS

Dr. Sakurai was born in Los Angeles and has remained here throughout his life. He has earned a B.S. degree in Biology from CSULA in 1984, and his D.D.S. degree from UCLA in 1988. He currently resides in Long Beach with his wife Tiffany (also a dentist in private practice in Torrance), son Luke, and his dog, George.

Travel is a hobby of Dr. Sakurai’s, especially to exotic places. In 2002 he went to Africa to fulfill his dream of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, and yes, he made it to the top! His current passion is Japanese Archery (www.kyudo.com) and he has attained the rank of renshi godan, one of only 16 in the United States. He teaches at the Oh Shin Kan dojo in Fullerton and is the President of the Southern California Kyudo Renmei.
